I didn’t think that $2 sushi rolls still existed! But they do at Atami Sushi.
I went into this little shop when I saw it because:
1. One of my beautiful friends has a lovely wife named “Atami”; and
2. There was a very cheerful sign saying “$2 sushi rolls” out the front!
One raw salmon sushi with brown rice and a crispy chicken sushi later, I am happy! Seriously cheap, cheerful, tasty, filling and delivered with friendly service. They don’t skimp on the ingredients with non-existent meat in the middle of the roll and loose rice packing either – you know who you are, you sushi skimpers! And everything in the display looked very fresh and clean, including their sashimi and sushi lunch boxes. They even had some custard buns and bbq pork buns for sale too – I know, they’re not Japanese, but who’s complaining?
Atami Sushi – worth the walk to if you work around the lower end of the CBD.
